Cohort-based consulting
Leadership does not have to equal loneliness
Cohort-based consulting is an effective, affordable, and relational way to tackle your business problems. Together with other participants you’ll learn to embrace your limitations, find new and creative ways forward, and start building healthier workplaces for yourself and for others.
Our facilitators will guide you through experiences and conversations designed to help you relate to each other, and we promise that no trust falls or blindfolds will be involved.
❋ Not your average team-building
You’ll learn just as much - if not more - from your cohort as you will from the content itself. We have an comprehensive intake and interview process to help ensure that the cohorts have a great chance for collaboration and creativity.
❋ Better together
Led by experienced moderators who have real-world experience that they can share from. Our goal is not just to give you the answers or solutions to your problems, but to draw from our experience and help the group discover new ways forward
❋ Expert Facilitation
Our events are based on trust and openness. We ask all our participants to sign a confidentiality agreement before we begin working together, and with that we also require all participants come with a readiness to be appropriately open and honest.
❋ A Supportive Space
Part One
In-person, one-day intensive
With a maximum of 12 participants per gathering, you’ll be able to quickly form connections with the other participants. Material is designed to be experiential in nature, helping you to discover that being vulnerable about our own weaknesses can create new avenues for connection and for growth.

How It Works
-
Browse our upcoming events to find the one that feels right for you, whether it be location or a particular focus for the group.
-
You can choose to pay up-front or over time. Your registration is fully refundable up to 30 days before the cohort starts. You can also cancel up to 7 days after the in-person intensive to receive a 50% refund. We offer this to ensure that before we start the group work that everybody is on-board and ready to work together.
-
After booking, we'll send you a link to schedule a short intro meeting with one of our facilitators before the cohort starts. If after speaking us you decide to cancel your booking, you can do so free of charge within three business days after the meeting.
-
We attempt to make all of our cohorts available to reach via public transportation. Should that not be the case or you need help arranging transport please contact us. Any travel arrangements are your sole responsibility (flights, hotels, AirBnB, etc.), and Ravel Consulting bears no liability for any cancellation fees incurred as a result of changes or cancellations to the scheduled cohort.
-
We expect any pre-cohort assignments to be completed by arrival time, and the same goes for any assignments during the group sessions. Be ready to share and to listen, and expect to be challenged and encouraged.
Oh, and we make sure there’s delicious and healthy meals, snacks, and drinks available during the whole day.
FAQs
-
It will be a diverse group of people from various professions and walks of life. Everyone will be coming with some problems in their workplace they would like help with and ideas and inspirations to share that they might not even know about yet. You’ll quickly build connections based on the similar burdens you share in different leadership roles in various types of organizations.
-
A cohort is defined as a group of people with a shared characteristic. Instead of drawing from a common demographic or organization or line of work, we create cohorts based on shared problems. That creates new opportunities for growth and collaboration that might not exist within our own demographic bubbles.

If by “this” you mean “cohort-based consulting”, the answer is yes. Please see some of the testimonials from previous participants. In addition, you can read the following articles which outline the advantages of the cohort model:

We invite all our participants to bring real problems with them into their cohorts that they will work on together.. Our moderators all have real world experience from a wide background of organizations and businesses, and through guided conversations we tackle your problems together. This helps make it both more affordable in relation to what a normal consultant agency would charge, as well as (we believe) potentially more helpful.

During Covid, the ability to meet remotely became a widespread reality for a large portion of the globe in a way that had never been possible before. Since then, courses, coaching, and content have been increasingly available online, and real-life human interaction has been on the decline. We’re trying to take advantage of the best that both worlds have to offer. IRL connections give a richness and depth to online interactions that is impossible to duplicate.

Every cohort is put together with purpose and intention. It starts with an intake form that helps us get to know you, and we follow it up with a short intro meeting online so you can get to know us and ask any questions you might have. This helps ensure that all the participants are as ready to help and be helped by their cohorts as possible.
