Ravel Cohorts

Cohort-based consulting that works for you

Leading a small- or mid-sized organization is hard work, especially when most leadership support programs aren’t built for your budget, your calendar, or your actual needs.

Ravel Cohorts are different. We’ve combined the problem-solving of consulting, the personal contact of coaching, and the effectiveness of peer learning into a single program.

All our cohorts start with a one-day in-person intensive, where you'll encounter your own limitations and learn tools to work with them rather than against them.

After the intensive day, you’ll meet with a small group (3–5 people) for facilitated digital gatherings, where you'll apply what you've learned to real challenges you're actually facing.

Finally, a one-on-one digital session at the conclusion of the program gives you help exactly where you need it — from someone who already knows your context.

How It Works

  • Browse our upcoming cohorts to find the one that feels right for you, whether it be location, a particular focus for the group, or the format.

  • Once you register your interest, we'll contact you to schedule a short intro call with one of our facilitators. There's no cost or commitment at this stage — if you decide afterward that the cohort isn't right for you, just tell us.. If you do want to proceed, we'll send you a link to complete an intake form and submit your payment.

  • Registration isn’t confirmed until you’ve submitted your intake form and full payment is received.

Your registration is refundable as follows:

    • More than 4 weeks before the cohort starts: full refund

    • 2–4 weeks before: 50% refund

    • Less than 2 weeks before: non-refundable

Each cohort requires a minimum number of participants in order to conduct it. If we haven’t reached that number by 14 days before the start date, we may be forced to reschedule or cancel. If we cancel for lack of minimum participants or for any other reason, you’ll receive a full refund.

  • We do our best to choose venues that are easily reachable by public transportation — if you have questions about getting there, just reach out. All of our sites have overnight accommodations available either on-site or nearby. In addition, the schedule is built so that locally-based participants don't need to stay overnight.

Travel and accommodation are your responsibility to arrange. We're not liable for any expenses due to a cohort being rescheduled or cancelled. We'll always give as much notice as possible if anything changes on our end.

  • Be ready to share and to listen, and expect to be challenged and encouraged.

We ensure that you’re served fresh and healthy meals, snacks, and drinks during the whole day; see specific cohort pages for information about what that includes. Regular breaks for coffee, fresh air, and stretching are always included in the schedule

  • After the one-day intensive, we’ll form smaller groups (3-5 people) to continue working together, guided by your facilitator. You’ll then meet online approximately every other week for the duration of the program to work together on the actual problems you’ve brought with you.

  • This is your chance to reflect, review, ask practical questions, and set yourself up for your new way forward. We recommend scheduling it between 1 and 2 months after your digital group has finished. You’ll receive a link to a scheduling site from your facilitator so you can easily book a time that works for you.

FAQs

  • It will be a diverse group of people from various professions and walks of life. Everyone arrives with problems from their workplace they would like help with, and ideas and inspirations to share that they might not even know about yet. You’ll quickly build connections based on the similar burdens you share in different leadership roles across various types of organizations.

  • A cohort is defined as a group of people with a shared characteristic. Instead of drawing from a common demographic, organization type or line of work, we create cohorts based on shared problems. That creates new opportunities for growth and collaboration that might not exist within our own demographic bubbles.

  • Cohort-based learning has strong research backing — and we've seen it firsthand. We’ve consistently experienced that working alongside peers facing similar challenges unlocks things that coaching or consulting alone can't.

  • We invite every participant to bring a real workplace problems into their cohort. Your facilitator has extensive real-world experience, and through guided conversation we work through those problems together — using not just our expertise, but the collective wisdom of the group.

  • Online courses, coaching, and content are more available now than ever — and at the same time, real-life human interaction has been on the decline. We're trying to combine the best of both. In-person connection gives online work a depth that can't be duplicated. That's why we start in person before moving online.

  • We assemble each cohort deliberately, selecting for people who are ready to share honestly, learn from each other, and stop chasing impossible demands. That's how we make sure the cohort works — for you and for everyone else in it.
